Amsterdam CTO Symposium 2023

Dear colleagues,

This year we proudly organize our 7th edition of the Amsterdam CTO Symposium. We are more than delighted to invite you as our guest. The cardiology community has become more and more involved in the treatment of this intriguing as well as complex anatomic lesion within the field of interventional cardiology.

A lot of innovative materials such as microcatheters, double lumen catheters, the cross-boss stingray device together with new, dedicated CTO wires adding improved technology entered the armamentarium of the interventionalist. Together with strategy algorithms such as the hybrid approach this resulted in higher success rates and lower complication rates over the last years.

You will get acquainted with the basics as well as high-end techniques of PCI CTO from reading an angiogram, antegrade wire escalation to planning a retrograde procedure. The invited CTO experts will give short presentations on key steps within the different approaches and the materials used during PCI CTO.

During this course, however, focus will be on the eight live cases which will cover the whole field of PCI CTO. We will show antegrade wire escalation, retrograde wire escalation as well as dissection re-entry techniques. Cases will be performed by world class CTO operators.
